Libby's Pumpkin Pie

3/4 cup sugar1/2 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ground ginger1/4 teaspoon ground cloves2 large eggs1 15-ounce can pure pumpkin1 12-ounce can evaporated milk1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
Mix salt, sugar, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk. Pour into pie shell.
Bake in preheated 425 oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 35o and back 40-50 minutes more until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
