Dr. Oz's Garden Harvest Soup

1 Tbsp olive oil1 medium onion, chopped1 carrot chopped4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced1 red bell pepper, chopped8 cups low sodium chicken broth1 can stewed tomatoes, crushed or diced2 cups water1 small head of cabbage, thinly sliced1/2 tsp of hot sauceSalt and pepper (opt.)
Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add oil and onion, cook 5 minutes, stir occasionally.
Stir in Carrot, garlic, and bell pepper.
Cook until tender.
Add Stock, tomatoes, water, and cabbage.
Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.
Season to taste with hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
