Ingredients
4 medium apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (use firm apples - I use Granny Smith)1/2 cup UNpacked brown sugar1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice1/4 c. all-purpose flour1/4 c. uncooked old-fashioned oats3 tbsp. light margarine
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Stir together apples, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Pour into a 1-1/2 quart baking dish.

Cut flour, oatmeal, remaining brown sugar and margarine together with a pastry blender or fork in a medium bowl. Sprinkle over apple mixture.

Bake until apples are tender and top is browned, about 45 minutes.

Yields 8 ea. 1/2 cup servings.
**Note: If you want a bigger batch, you can triple the recipe and bake it in a 9" x 13" pan. The serving size would still be 1/2 cup.

I used Gala apples and REAL butter (margarine is evil in a tub.) Let me put it this way, my hubby asked for this for his birthday dessert! "Y'know, that apple thing you made with the crumbs on top." - 1/19/13
