1 lb chicken (boneless skinless), diced1 lb ground veal1 bunch parsley, mincedchopped sage to tastefresh thyme to taste1/2 pkg fresh mushroomszest of 1 lemonminced chives2 tbsp soften buttera little milk1 garlic clove, finely mincedgrated ginger root (fresh)dash each cloves, nutmeg, cinnamonsalt and pepper to tasteprepared pie crust, top and bottom for 9" pie (I used frozen, but you can make your own)1 egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients except crust and egg together in a bowl. Lay 1 crust in a pie plate, fill with meat mixture. Add top crust, cut off extra, fold and pleat. Ventilate the top. Brush top crust with beaten egg, and bake at 350 for 2 and a half hours. Serve hot or cold with vegetables or salad.
