World's Greatest Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients
3/4 cup flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1/3 cup shortening (I like the butter flavor shortening)2/3 cup sugar2 eggs, beaten1 cup mashed banana (about 3 small ones)1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional, but nutrition facts calculated with them)Nuts optional (I don't add them, didn't calculate for them)
Directions
Grease and flour a small loaf pan.

Preheat oven to 350°F (330°F for dark pan)

Sift together first four ingredients.
In a seperate bowl, mix shortening until fluffy & creamy.
Gradually add sugar and mix until light.
Add eggs and beat well.
Alternate adding flour mixture and mashed bananas, beating smooth after each addition.

Pour into loaf pan.

Sprinkle top with chocolate chips and gently fold into top of batter.

Bake for 1 hour (50 minutes for dark pan)

Cool on wire rack.
