Low Calorie Indian Butter Chicken

* Chicken Breast, no skin, 3 ounces * Onions, raw, .25 cup, chopped * Peas and carrots, frozen, 0.5 cup * Yellow Sweet Corn, Frozen, 0.25 cup kernels * *Chick Peas, 0.25 cup * Canned Tomatoes, 1 cup * Curry powder, 1 tbsp * Yogurt, plain, low fat, .10 cup (8 fl oz) * Sour Cream, reduced fat, 1 tbsp * Salt, 1 tsp * Garlic, 1 tsp * Pepper, black, 3 dash * *cooked brown rice, 1 serving
1) cut up chicken in bite size pieces cook chicken in water and garlic until it blanches.
2) add all the other ingredients except the rice.
3) mix and cover and cook on a medium heat for 20 minutes then on a low heat for about 40 *minutes.
4) Serve over rice
The longer you cook this the better and if you store in the fridge - every day it gets tastier.

not actually much like butter chicken. it was runny and souplike. i probably should have drained the tomatoes. also the recipe didn't mention draining off the water after blanching the chicken, so i didn't. this recipe was perfectly edible. it tasted nice, just don't expect butter chicken - 11/16/14
