Apple-cinnamon buckwheat cereal

Ingredients
1/2 cup dry buckwheat1 cup 1% lactose free milk1 cup waterDash salt1 tsp cinnamon1 medium apple, chopped1 ounce walnuts chopped
Directions
Combine buckwheat, milk, salt and water. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed, about 15-20 minutes. Add chopped apple, cinnamon, and walnuts. Remove from heat and cover for about 5 minutes. This gives the apple a chance to soften. Divide between 2 bowls and enjoy!
