Spicy Chili (Beef or Venison!)

2 T olive oil2 pounds sirloin steak, cut in 1" cbes1/2 pound ground chuck12 oz chorizo sausage, casing removed1 larege onion1/2 c chili powder1 T garlic salt2 t ground cumin1 t dried basil2 cans chopped tomatoes2 cans beef broth1 cup chopped fresh cilantro (2 T dried)1 cinnaomn stick3 bay leaves3 jalapeonos, sliced 3 times lengthwise, leaving stem intact1 T yellow cornmealSalt & Pepper to tasteGarnish: Sour cream and grated cheddar cheese
Place oil in a large pot. Brown sirloin in batches. Remove to bowl with Slotted spoon. Add the ground beef, chorizo, and onion and brown the meat. Return the sirloin to the pot.
Stir the remaining ingredients, except garnished. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours. Before serving, discard cinnamon stick, jalapeno and bay leaves.
Serve with garnishes.
Can use ground venison or venison steak in place of beef!
