Sausage Lentil barley soup

Ingredients
3/4 cup brown or red lentils2 tbsp. dried vegetable flakes2 tsp chicken bouillon granules1/2 tsp dried minced garlic1/2 cup uncooked medium pearled barley1 can diced tomatoes with onion & celery1/4 cup dried tomatoes cut into peices1 tbsp. dried minced onion1 tsp drid oregano leaves1/2 tsp pepper8 oz smoked sausage cut into peices4-5 cups of water
Directions
Put all ingredients in a pot on a low simmer on the stove for about 1 1/2 hours until lentils are soft. OR you can put all the ingredients in a slow cooker for 7 to 8 hours on low. Makes about 6 servings.
