peppermint hot choclate

Ingredients
1 1/2 c. milk (fat free or low-fat)1 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream1/4 cup sugar or splenda1/8 tsp salt 6 oz bittersweet or milk choclate 3 drops peppermint extract
Directions
add the heavy whipping cream, milk, sugar, and salt into the sauce pan. once the sauce pan is steaming stir in the chopped chocolate into the sauce pan. once the chocolate is halfway melted, add the 3 drops of peppermint extract into the mixture and stir until all the ingredients are well blended together. Add a generous amount of whipped cream on top and shaved chocolate for garnish.
