Pulled Pork - slow cooked bbq

2.5 lb boneless pork shoulderRUB:1 tsp salt1 tsp chili powder1/8 tsp cayenne1/2 tsp cumin1 tsp paprikaSAUCE:1/2 c packed brown sugar1/2 c ketchup1/3 c cider vinegar1/4 c water1/4 c tomato paste2 tbspn worcestershire2 tbspn mustart of your choice1 tbspn hot sauce1 medium onion chopped
rub the outside of the shoulder so it is completely smothered in the rub mixture and place the shoulder in the slow cooker.
pour in the sauce mixture and turn on the slow cooker - to LOW setting - and leave it for 8 hours give or take. when you come back it should smell delicious and should pull apart easily with two forks - break it up and mix the sauce through thoroughly, let it sit enough for all the meat to absorb the sauce - scoop some into your favorite whole grain bread, or eat it on its own... either way it is DELICIOUS!
