Barbequed Ribs

Ingredients
4 lbs. of pork ribs cut into serving size pieces1 medium onion, quartered2 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepperSauce:1/2 c cider vinegar1/2 c packed brown sugar1/2 c ketchup1/4 c chili sauce1/4 c Worcestershire sauce2 T chopped onion1 T lemon juice1 clove garlic, mincedDash cayenne pepper
Directions
In a large pan, place ribs and onion; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add enough water to cover ribs; bring to a boil and move into a crock pot. Cook in crock pot for 5 hrs on low. Combine all sauce ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Simmer uncovered for 1 hr. or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Arrange ribs on a rack in a broiler pan. Brush with sauce. Broil 5 in. from heat for 5 min. on each side, brushing often with sauce. Or you may cook over medium coals on a grill for 5 min. each side, basting often with sauce.
