3/4 lb. 90-95% lean ground beef1 c. chopped onion1 c. chopped green pepper3 cloves minced garlic1-16 oz. can of drained, rinsed kidney beans1-16 oz. can NO ADDED SALT tomatoes1-8 oz. can NO ADDED SALT tomato sauce1/2 tsp. dried basil3 tsp. chili powder1/4 tsp. pepper
1. In a large saucepan, cook ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until meat is browned.
2. Remove excess grease.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients and cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
