1 pound lean ground turkey1 onion, chopped1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans, with liquid1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans with liquid1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, with liquid1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce2 cups water2 (14.5 ounce) cans peeled and diced tomatoes1 (4 ounce) can diced green Chile peppers1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mixOptional:If you want to make your own taco seasoning, this is the recipe I use:1 tablespoon chili powder1/2 teaspoon garlic salt1/4 teaspoon onion powder1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes1/4 teaspoon dried oregano1/2 teaspoon paprika1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin1/2 teaspoon sea salt1 teaspoon black pepper1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1. In a medium skillet, cook the ground turkey and half the chopped onion until browned over medium heat. Drain if necessary. (If you choose to, add have the taco seasoning in the meat now)
2. Place the ground meat, remaining onion, chili beans, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, water, diced tomatoes, green chile peppers and taco seasoning mix in a slow cooker. Mix to blend, and cook on Low setting for 8 hours.
*Serve topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, and tortilla strips.(These are not included in the Nutritional value)
Serving Size: About 8- 1.5 cup servings
