I couldn't get 16 slices either and the crust was hard but that's good :) The firs loaf I did with Honey Weiss and it sliced nicely, the second one with sunset wheat was more crumbly. You can tell the subtle hints of the beer! Brought it to a soup cook off...MAJOR HIT! - 1/9/10

After you pour the bread in the pan, you pour 1/4 c. Melted butter evenly over it. Keeps the top soft. - 2/14/17

Read the reviews first and was prepared for hard crust and crumbles. Crust did come out hard and it crumbles when I slice (not sure how many but prob not 16 slices) on edges but center is moist. Used Shocktop Raspberry beer - nice flavor. Will try again because it was so easy. - 2/4/12

It turned out ok. I think if I had used 2.5 cups of flour it would have turned our much better. - 8/1/10

My crust turned out very hard and it kind of crumbled when I cut it. I couldn't cut it into 16 slices, which is the serving size. Tastes good but I don't think I'll make it again. - 10/21/09

Very Easy! I used a homemade Ale and I brushed the top with a little butter before going into the oven and it came out great! - 7/13/09
