Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies

*Flour, white, 1.5 cup (remove) Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, .5 cup (remove) Salt, 1 tsp (remove) Baking Powder, .25 tsp (remove) Baking Soda, .25 tsp (remove) Margarine, hard, 1 stick (remove) Granulated Sugar, 1 cup (remove) Egg, fresh, 1 large (remove) Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp (remove) *Cherries Maraschino - PC (1 cherry / 5 g), 30 serving (remove) *Nestle Toll House chocolate chip, 16 oz (remove) *Borden Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk, 8 tbsp (remove)
Mix dry ingredients separately. In med bowl, beat together margarine and sugar on low speed until fluffy. Add eggs & Vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add dry ingredients. Beat until well blended. Shape into 1" balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press down center of dough with thumb. Drain cherries, reserving juice. Place a cherry in the center of each cookie.
In small saucepan combine chocolate pieces and sweetened condensed milk; beat until chocolate is melted. Stir in 4 tsp on reserved cherry juice. Spoon about 1 tsp frosting over each cherry, spreading to cover cherry (frosting may be thinned with additional cherry juice if necessary).
