Richo's Indian Dhal

Ingredients
1 cup of Red Lentils1 Medium Onion (diced)1 clove garlic (chopped)1 tbsp Turmeric1 tbsp Ground Cumin1 tbsp Ground Coriander seed1 tbsp Ground Garam Masala1 tbsp Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Olive Oil
Directions
Wash and drain Lentils.
Very briefly heat lentils in olive oil and add 3 cups of water. bring to boil adding Turmeric

While Lentils are coming to boil Chop onion and garlic and cook in pan until Onion is golden. Add cumin, coriander and Garam Masala (could not find it in the database)

When Lentils are boiling lower heat and simmer.
Add onions to the mix.
Simmer until lentils are cooked and excess water cooks off.
Stir occasionally.

Serve on its own or over steamed or roasted veggies.
