Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Ingredients
1 (3 pound) whole chicken, skin removed1/2 cup chicken broth1/3 cup soy sauce1/3 cup olive oil1/4 cup honey 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar2 teaspoons lemon juice1 teaspoon sesame oil2 tablespoons minced garlic
Directions
1. Remove skin from chicken, and empty inner cavity of contents within. Pat chicken dry with a paper towel, and place inside the slow cooker.
2. In a bowl, stir together the chicken broth, soy sauce, olive oil, honey, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Pour mixture over chicken, and cover.
3. Cook chicken on low setting for 8 hours, or 4 hours on high setting

    This was very good. I didn't have sesame oil, so I omitted it. & I only used 1 oz of olive oil b/c the fat was so high (nutrition info). Then I used a 1/4 c of the sauce to pour over rice pilaf with parm & peas. My husband & I really like it. Preschooler said it was 'ok'! ;-) - 3/5/11

    An interesting recipe; always looking for different ways to serve chicken. Both my husband & I enjoyed the flavor. Probably will try the recipe again but not soon. Using low sodium chicken broth and soy sauce decreased the sodium content a little. - 2/15/10
