Janet's Quick Black Bean Soup

1 rib celery.5 cup onion chopped2-3 carrots, chopped2 cans Progresso black beans 19oz1 can Tuttorosso crushed tomatoes 28 oz1TB basilsalt and pepper to taste32 oz chicken broth
saute onions, olive oil, celery and carrots with bacon until bacon is crispy. Empty into stock pot and add beans, undrained, crushed tomatoes, and chicken broth. Add 1tbs basil and heat until carrots are cooked through. serve with pieces of buttered bread and/or romano cheese.
