German Pancakes

  • Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
4 tbsp butter or margarine 1 cup flour1 cup nonfat milk1 cup egg substitute1 tsp salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 425*F.
Melt butter in a glass 9x12 baking dish in oven until sizzling.
While butter is melting, mix together flour, milk, egg substitute, and salt.
When butter is sizzling, pour batter into middle of dish. Bake 18 to 20 min on lowest rack.
Pancake will rise 6-8 in.
Serve hot with fresh jam, jelly, syrup or sprinkle Splenda on top.
*Note* don't cook on stormy days: low pressure keeps pancake from rising.

    Wow! So much easier than regular pancakes. I didn't have nonfat milk or egg substitute, so I used 4 eggs and 1% milk... I thought I was in heaven. - 1/17/08
