Ingredients
1/3 cup water1/3 cup rice vinegar1/3 cup sugar or splenda3/4 t fresh ginger root1/2 t garlic3/4 t crushed red pepper3/4 t ketchup3/4 t cornstarch
Directions


Pour water and vinegar into a saucepan, and bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in sugar, garlic,chile pepper, and ketchup, simmer for 5 min. Stir in cornstarch. Remove saucepan from stove to cool. Then transfer to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate until needed.

I use this as a marinate for chicken. Serve over a bed of raw cabbage finely shredded add more sauce on top mmm.

    It was fantastic. I marinated Atlantic Salmon and cooked it on the grill pan. I served it with a ready bagged broccoli salad mix with the sause drissled on top. A real hit with my husband. - 2/4/08
