St Patricks Day Corned Beef Boiled Dinner

4 lb corned beef brisket2 potatoes2 parsnips3 carrots1 turnip1 onion1/2 head cabbage
Peel and quarter (or cut into chunks) potatoes, turnip, parsnips and carrots, and place in bottom of crock pot. Slice onion lengthwise, and place on top of root vegetables. Place prepared corned beef brisket on top, and cook in crock pot on high for at least 8 hours (or on low for 12 to 18 hours). I add the cabbage towards the end of the cooking time, but you could add it earlier if you wanted to.
