French Dip

Ingredients
3lb. Cross Rib Roast1/2 tsp olive oil1/2 medium onion, sliced3 cup water4 Tbsp less sodium soy sauce1 tbsp worcestershire sauce3 cloves garlic minced1/2 tsp pepper3/4 tsp dried rosemary (ground if possible)3/4 tsp dried thyme (ground too if possible)1 bay leaf
Directions
Preheat oven 325 degrees. Brown all sides of roast in pan. Take out of pan & put into roasting pan. Saute onion in 1/2 tsp. of olive oil. Add onion and rest of ingredients to roasting pan & stir. Bake for 4 hours. (Otherwise put into crock pot & cook on high for 6 hours or until beef shreds). Take out beef & shred. Use a sieve to remove onions from broth. Mix onions & beef together along with 1/4 cup of sauce. Reserve au jus sauce to dip french dip sandwiches in. Serve on rolls & with individual dipping bowls. (Bread is not incluced in Nutional Information)

Serving Size: makes 12 servings of beef & au jus sauce divided equally. About 3 oz. of meat & onion mixture & 3 tbsp of au jus dipping sauce.
