Crockpot Italian Beef/Green Pepper

Ingredients
2 lb. beff brisket1 tbs. olive oil1 can condensed beef broth (14 oz)2 cloves garlic, finely chopped1 tsp. dried oregano1 tsp. dried basil leaves1/2 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. black pepper1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper3 large green bell pepper, cut into 1/4" strips
Directions
Makes 6 servings

Trim excess fat from beef. heat oil in 10" skillet over med-high heat. Cook beef in oil about 10 min., turning occassionally, until both sides are brown. Place beef in crockpot. Mix remaining ingredients except bell peppers; pour over beef. Cover and cook on LOW 8-10 hours or until beef is tender.

Remove beef to cutting board; cut into thin slices. Skim fat from beef juices in crockpot. Stir bell peppers into juices. Cover and cook on HIGH 15 min. Return beef slices to cooker and serve.

Can be served on 2 slices of Italian bread (don't forget to add the calories and fat from the bread).
