Amazing Sponge Cake

Measure and mix flour ,sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a hollow and add (in order) the oil, unbeaten egg yolks, cold water and vanilla. Beat till smooth.
In a large bowl, beat egg whites till stiff adding .25Tsp of Cream of Tartar. You should be able to turn the bowl upside down. Pour egg yolk mixture over egg whites and fold till blended.
Pour into ungreased pan and bake at 350F for 55 mins. When removed from oven, turn upside down on cooling rack till completely cold, then remove from pan. Serve with fruit, whipped cream or icing.
