A nice and easy recipe. I didn't have any FF sour cream, so I subsituted FF plain yoghurt. It was great! A serving size would be a nice addition. - 3/26/08

really good! I too, left out the splenda but added another apple, it's totally sweet enough. I will put dried cranberries in nest time instead of the stupid immitation bacon bits I bought for this recipe. That was the only thing that I didn't like about it, too bad , I had the cranberries on had too - 3/17/08

I wanted to try this, but was having a problem with the amount of mayonaise in it, so my friend suggested I use only 1/3 cup of mayo and put 1/4 cup vinegar in it, so that's what I did when I made it, but will be making it again for sure. - 2/2/09

I used brocolli slaw and fat free mayo and fat free shredded cheese, with curry powder for a seasoning. Fat free mayo separates after one day, so there was a good reason for not using it! Delicious anyway! - 9/18/09

I made this today and it was EXCELLENT! I couldn't find the shredded broccoli/cauliflower mix, so I just used broccoli slaw and it turned out excellent. Next time I think I will leave out the cheese and add an extra apple.
Thanks for sharing this recipe! - 1/7/09

This is so good and different if you are getting tired of your same old green salad. I also added chicken and made it a whole meal with garlic pita chips (recipe also found on Spark) One of my faves. - 7/15/09

I made this with bagged borccoli slaw mix and red onions. Subbed dried cranberries for apples and left out the bacon. Good, a little dry though. I never use splenda, and don't see that this needs extra sweetening anyway. - 3/17/08

I have been making this salad for years using broccoli florets, shredded carrots, shredded cheddar cheese and grapes . I always add 1or 2 tsps of curry powder...also use plain yoghurt instead of sour cream! Delish!! I'm always asked to bring this to family gatherings. Also great the next day! - 9/18/09

I make this recipe! I also add sunflower kernels and golden raisins or dried cranberries. It's wonderful! Oh and I don't use shredded, I use the pieces. :) - 9/18/09

Preshredded broccoli and cauliflower would be found in the fresh food section. If you can't find shredded make it out of precut flowerettes. - 1/7/09

Most of the bacon bits in the Salad dressing section are imitation bacon bits (meaning soy based), so this is a vegetarian dish, unless you buy the REAL bacon bits, which I never do. I'm sure this person was thinking imitation bacon bits. Miracle Whip is "Light Whipped salad dressing" & not mayo. - 3/15/08

I could not get preshredded veggies in a bag at the grocery store, so I tried it with whole florets. Both my husband and I did not like it this way. I will try it again if I find the shredded veggies. - 1/13/09
