Spelt Bread

Ingredients
1.25 cups plus 2 TBL hot water3 TBL olive oil2.25 tsp sea salt4 generous teas. honey3 TBL dry milk, nonfat4 cups Spelt flour1 TBL active dry yeast
Directions
easily made in a bread machine.

Add ingredients in order listed to left.
Set bread machine to WHEAT mode
Add nuts when it beeps.

To make without machine:
mix ingredients as normal, add small amount of hot water to disolve yeast. Knead until smooth.
Add nuts at second kneading.

Makes one 2 lb loaf.

    been looking for a spelt recipe since I bought some s. flour at the Amish store. You mention nuts in the recipe but there are none listed in the ingredients. What type would you use. I used pine nuts and they are good and healthy but pricey - 4/12/08
