1.25 cup (1 1/2 cups) Zero Calorie Brown baking sweetener or use Splenda Brown Sugar blend or make your own blend8 oz. Yogurt plain or vanilla2 eggs or can subst. egg whites2 Tbsp milk or water if just use a little more yogurt2 tsp vanilla or I substitute 1 tsp almond flavoring1.5 cups (1 1/2 cups) flour ( I use whole wheat)1 tsp Baking Soda (not powder)1 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp sea salt3 cups Old fashioned oats (5 minutes variety not quick)1 cup walnuts (or make use dried fruit or other nuts)
Mix sweetener, yogurt, eggs, oil, Milk or water, and flavoring. Mix well. Add flour, baking soda, salt & cinammon. Mix well. Add oats and mix well. Add nuts or dried fruit last & mix well. Mixture will be stiff. Spread into a pyrex 9 x 13 dish (greased with pan spray). Bake 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Cool, cut and enjoy. Makes a good breakfast bar or snack any time of the day. Loaded with good for you nutrients when using these whole grain and no sugar options.
