Texas Cowboy Buttermilk Biscuits

1 cup all-purpose flour2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon sugar2 tablespoons shortening1 cup buttermilk
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Let buttermilk reach room temperature.
3. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Stir in buttermilk. Roll out on floured surface about 1/2 inch think, and cut with biscuit cutter.
4. Bake on nonstick pan, sides touching for 10 to 12 minutes
