1/2 pound ground beef1 medium onion8 oz mushrooms1 tbsp garlic (fresh minced)1 tbsp oregano1 tbsp basil1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)1/4 can tomato paste (6 oz)8 oz mozzarella cheese1 cup non-fat ricotta cheese1 cup non-fat cottage cheese1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Sautee the ground beef, onions and mushrooms in a frying pan or skillet. Once browned, add garlic, oregano, basil, tomato sauce, tomato paste and simmer for 10 minutes. Mix the ricotta cheese, cottage cheese and parmesan cheese in a separate bowl. When the beef is sauteed, layer the sauce, noodles and cheeses in the following order, sauce, noodles, cheese, sauce, noodles cheese sauce, mozzarella cheese, so that you end with mozzarella cheese.
