3 cups quick oats1 cup dried cranberries1 cup sunflower seeds 1 cup mixed nuts1 cup slivered almonds1 can sweetened condensed milk ( this is what makes them chewy according to the author)1/4 cup canola oil1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
preheat oven to 325 for 15 minutes
line a 13x9 pan with tim foil and grease the tin foil well!
mix all ingredients together.
spread in the pan evenly
bake for 25-30 minutes or until the sides of the bars are turn slightly brown ( this is important otherwise the bottom does not seem brown. The sugar in this will burn quickly if you don't watch this phase.
place pan on cooling rack or the bars may be lifted out of the pan to cool quicker. Once cooled cut into bars
