French Onion and Potato Soup

5 pounds red onions, sliced1 stick of butter4 pounds red potatoes, cubed5 cloves of garlic, minced1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp sugar3 cans low sodium beef broth1/2 to 1 tsp black pepper, to tastesalt, to taste
Melt butter in skillet and add garlic. When simmered down, add onions and garlic butter to crockpot on high for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, parboil potatoes till pierce-able but not tender. Then, add all ingredients together and stick in crock pot on high for 4 hours.
