caryn's chicken pasta alfredo

Ingredients
4 cups whole wheat pasta of your choice2 tbs butter2 tbs flour1 cup non fat milk1/2 cup parmesan cheesea dash or 2 of garlic powder1 tbs green peppers chopped1/2 tbs scallions chopped3 oz. chopped chicken
Directions
cook pasta to your preference
melt butter in sauce pan
whisk in flour
add milk on low heat
add peppers
app scallions
whisk often to kkep form sticking or burning on bottom.
cook on lower heat till thickens up
add cheese and chicken and stir on low to medium until blended and melted to a nice saucey state.... maybe be thick.. feel free to thin with a little mor emilk.. but watch it so it doesn't thin out too quick.

it makes 4-1/4 cup serving of sauce to top 4-1 cup servings of pasta.

    I added a few more vegetables to give it a little more flavor. It tastes pretty good as long as it's really fresh, but the leftovers didn't keep very well. - 6/7/11
