Pumpkin and chana dal ki sabji

Ingredients
1 small Pumpkin1 cup chana dal1 garlic clove1 tbs canola oil1 dry red chilli1tsp mustard seed1 tsp iodized salt
Directions
soak chana dal in water for 30 minutes. Cut pumpkin into small pieces. Put a midium size pan on gas. Add a cup of water. Put chana dal and pumpkin together and cook for 20 mintues.

In another pan add oil and put 1tsp of mustard seed. As mustard seed pops add garlic and red chili to it. Let it turn red then add cooked pumkin and chana dal. Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder and salt to taste.
