Gumbo, Chicken and Sausage (Oil Base Dark Roux)

Ingredients
Chicken Thigh, 5 thigh, bone and skin removed3 cups Chicken Broth2 links Sausage, Richards Green OnionOnions, raw, 1 large1/2 cup chopped Green Onion1 cup Roux, Savioe's Dark Roux3 quarts water2 tsp Salt1 tsp Pepper1 tsp Garlic powder2 tsp Tony's Chachere (optional)
Directions
Saute onion and sausage for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for couple of hours. Season to taste. Serve over rice.
