Crock Pot Beef Carnitas

2 lbs flank steak1 yellow onion, chopped1 green bell pepper, chopped1 red bell pepper, chopped1 jalapeno, seeded and choppedfor spice rub:2 tsp chili powder1 tsp cumin1/4 tsp onion powder1/4 tsp garlic powder1/4 tsp cayenne pepper1 tsp salt1/2 tsp lack pepper
Mix together all the ingredients for the spice rub. Rub all over the flank steak--it looks like a lot but use it ALL! Place your steak at the bottom of your crock pot. Cover it with the chopped onions, bell peppers, and jalapeno. Turn the heat on LOW and cook for 8 hours.
Remove from crock pot and shred with a fork. Feel free to return to the pot and allow shredded meat to reheat in the juices left behind.
Serve with corn tortillas, avocado slices, cilantro, salsa, sour cream, or whatever other things you like on tacos. (Not included in calorie count.)
