Ingredients
8 slices whole wheat bread1 cup skim milk1/2 cup sugar2 large eggs
Directions
Cube bread into an 8x8in pan. In a seperate bowl, mix eggs and sugar until blended. Add milk to egg mixture. Pour over bread. Mush down bread until all the bread is soaked in the mixture. (you might want to top with some cinnamon sugar but this is not included in the nutritional info) Cook for @30min at 350. Cut into 9 peices. Each one is a serving. I usually serve this with a fruit topping and light cool whip (again that's not included in the nutritional info)

Used up bits of bread in the freezer for this. Broke them (still frozen) into pieces, sprinkled dried cranberries & raisins over, mixed up eggs, sugar, mix and added ginger & cinnamon to this mixture. Poured over the frozen bread and baked for 35 min at 350. Much lighter than traditional. Delish! - 9/14/12

If you go to the bakery at your local grocery store and get a small loaf of whole wheat bread I think it tastes a little fresher. I, also, added 2 c. Frozen Blackberries and 1 tsp of vanilla. It gives it a little bit more of a sweetness instead of the fruit topping and cool whip. - 1/26/10

I used 1/2 cup egg beaters and splenda to cut down on the calories. Next time I'll use the sugar and egg beaters. - 3/31/08
