White Cake w/ Buttercream Icing

White Cake:2 1/2 cup Flour1 1/2 cup Sugar3 tsp Baking Powder1 tsp Salt1 1/4 cup Milk2/3 cup Shortening2 tsp Vanilla Extract3 EggsButtercream Icing:1/2 cup Butter3-4 cup Powdered Sugar1 tsp Vanilla Extract1 tbsp Milk
White Cake:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add milk, vanilla extract, and eggs. In a separate bowl, mix remaining dry ingredients. Add to wet mixture. Blend for 2 minutes, pour into greased and floured baking pans. Bake at 350 for 25-35 min.
Buttercream Icing:
Blend all ingredients until desired consistency. Add more sugar for thicker icing, more milk for thinner.
