Chickpea stew

Ingredients
2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed2 cans chopped tomatoes1 onion, thinly sliced1/2 C water1 T balsamic vinegar1 t oregano1/4 t salt1 T brown sugar1/3 C feta (optional)
Directions
Saute onion in olive oil on medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Add brown sugar, cover and cook 10 minutes. Add 1/4 C water and oregano, cover, and cook 15 minutes. Add vinegar, salt, and 1/4 C water, and cook until liquid is absorbed. Add tomatoes and remove from heat. Pour chickpeas into bottom of crock pot, top with tomato and onions, and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
