1 Cup Oatmeal½ Cup Brown Sugar1 Teaspoon Salt2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine2 Cups Boiling Water½ Cup Whole Wheat Flour½ Cup Warm water1 Tablespoon Yeast3 Cups Wheat Flour3 Cups White Flour
Combine oatmeal, sugar, salt, butter, boiling water, and whole wheat flour in a large mixing bowl. Mix it together until smooth. Mix warm water and yeast together in separate bowl and let sit for approx. five minutes. Add the rest of the whole wheat flour while mixing. Add the yeast mixture to the dough and mix together. Turn onto floured surface and kneed dough while adding the white flour. Divide into two loaves and let rise. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
