2/3 cup pearl barley1 lb ground beef1/2 cup soft bread crumbs1 small onion, chopped1/4 cup milk1/4 tsp pepper1 tsp saltoil1/2 cup thinly sliced celery1/2 cup finely chopped sweet peppers10 3/4oz can cream of celery soup1/3 cup waterpaprika
1. cook barley as directed on package. set aside
2. combined beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk pepper, salt. shape into 20 balls. brown on all sides with oil in skillet. drain and place in slow cooker.
3. add barley, celery and peppers.
4. combine soup and water. pour into slow cooker. mix all together gently.
5. sprinkle with paprika
6. cook and cover on low 6-8 hours. high for 4 hours
