Mom's Steak Pizzaiola

Ingredients
4 boneless beef round steaks (about 0.6 kg total)1 tbsp olive oil1 clove of garlic, minced1 large onion, sliced1 28 oz can of diced tomatoes1/2 tsp oregano1 bay leaf1/4 tsp pepper1/8 tsp cayenne pepperPinch of dred or fresh chopped parsley
Directions
Season steak with pepper. In medium skillet, cook steak on medium heat in oil until browned, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Remove steak from pan. In drippings, saute onions and garlic until soft about 4 minutes. Add steak, tomatoes, oregano, bay leaf, and cayenne pepper to pan. Simmer, stirring occasionally, about 1 1/2 hours, until steak is very tender.

Take out the bay leaf and sprinkle with parsley before servings.
