Navy Beans & Turkey Sausage

1 lb. navy beans6 cups water1/2 tsp. black pepper1/2 tsp. onion powder1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/4 tsp. salt1 tsp. parsley flakes1/8 tsp. onion flakes (1/10 Tbsp.)
Rinse and soak 1lb. of navy beans in 8 cups of water overnight. (Or you can quick soak them for 1 hour.)
Dump the soak water and rinse the beans.
Put the beans in the pan with 6 cups of water. Put on lid.
Bring to a boil. When boiling, turn down as low as you can and leave the lid on.
You can add the spices. Simmer until the beans are soft. I simmer for a couple of hours, at least.
When you desire, add your evenly cut-up turkey sausage (32 pieces= . 4.6 pieces/cup)
Serving Size: makes 7 1-cup servings
