Slow Cooked Navy Beans with Ham

Ingredients
1 lb. dry navy beans ( 2 1/2 cups)6 cups water2 teaspoons minced garlic1 ham hock1 cup chopped onion1 cup chopped carrots1 15 oz. canned diced tomatoes1 4 oz. green chilies peppers
Directions
Soak beans in water at least 4 hours or over night in slow cooker.
Add garlic, ham hock, carrots, onion, beans, tomatoes, chilis, and water.
Cover. Cook on low 7-8 hours, or high 4 hours.
Remove ham hock from cooker. Allow to cool. Cut ham off the bone and stir back into bean mixture.
