baked yam and sweet potato cinnamon-chile heaven

Ingredients
Sweet potato, cubed, 1 cup Yams, 1 cup, cubes Butter, salted, 1 tbsp Cinnamon, ground, 0.5 tbsp Chili powder, 0.5 tbsp Nutmeg, ground, 0.5 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne, 0.5 tsp Salt, 1 dash * All seasonings to taste! Measurements approximate.
Directions
Preheat oven to 400F.

Wash, peel and cube sweet potato and yam (feel free to use just one or the other but the colour combination is kind of pretty!). In a bowl, toss with spices. Transfer to baking dish, a single row is preferable. Slice butter and place on top.

After about 10 minutes in the oven, take out the pan to mix the butter all around. Return to the oven for about another 45 minutes. Keep checking and stirring.

Sometimes I like to broil them just before I eat them and get the edges a little crispy!!
