Caramel Icing

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed1/4 cup milk1 3/4 to 2 cups confectioners sugar, sifted
Directions
Melt butter, add brown sugar and cook over low heat 2 minutes. Stir constantly. Add milk and continue stirring until mixture comes to a boil. (be patient! leave heat on low...it will eventually boil) Remove from heat and cool. Add confectioners sugar until right consistency to spread

Serving Size: Makes enough to frost one layer thickly
