Smoked Sausage Stew/Jalapeno and Cheddar

2 - 13 oz. packages Jalapeno and Cheddar Sausage, chopped 5 medium potatoes, diced 5 medium carrots, diced 1 large onion, quartered1/3 of a medium cabbage, cut into wedges1 tsp. chicken base (or bouillon) dissolved in 2 cups of hot water1 tsp beef base (or bouillon) dissolved in 2 cups of hot water1 tsp celery seed
dice potatoes, place on bottom of crock pot
dice carrot, layer over potatoes
quarter onion layer over carrots
cut into wedges cabbage, layer over carrots
chop sausage into pieces, layer over cabbage
sprinkle celery seed over sausage
heat 4 cups of hot water, add chicken and beef base mix well and pour over sausage
cover and cook on high for 5 hours or low for 8 hours in crock pot.
Serving Size: makes 12 - one cup servings
