Chicken and bacon Penne

1 pound whole wheat penne3 tbsp olive oil1/4 pound bacon, diced 1 1/2 pounds chicken thighs, chopped into bite-size pieces1 medium to large onion, chopped1 carrot, peeled, grated1Tbsp dried rosemaryBlack pepper 1Tbsp garlic powder1/2 cup apple juice1 can whole tomatoes (28 ounces)
Boil pasta as per instructions on box
heat 2T olive oil in a skillet over med heat
add bacon & brown
add 1T olive oil
add chicken & brown evenly
add onion, spices, carrot
stir
cook till vegetables are soft
add apple juice
reduce 1 minute
add tomatoes & crush them
simmer till sauce thickens
drain pasta & add to skillet
stir
