Corn Fritters

Ingredients
1 cup flour1 teas baking powder1 tblsp granulated sugar1 egg1/2 cup milk1 tblsp shortening, melted2 cups corn kernals veg oil for cooking
Directions
Heat a generous amount of oil to 365 degrees to a depth that will allow the fritter to be 1/3 submerged.
Mix dry ingredients, mix wet ingredients, add wet to dry and mix well.
Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on newspaper or paper towels.
