Lentils Over Brown Rice

Ingredients
1 large onion1 carrot1 tbsp olive oil1/2 tsp thyme1/2 tsp marjoram2 C chicken broth1 C water1 C uncooked lentils2 8 oz cans of tomato sauce1/4 C chopped parsley6 C cooked brown rice
Directions
In a large pot, saute onion and carrots in the olive oil for about 3 minutes. Add thyme and marjoram and saute for 1 minute. Add chicken broth, water, lentils, tomato sauce and parsley. Simmer for 1 hour. Add more water if necessary. serve over cooked brown rice.
